HONG LEONG FINANCE CELEBRATES 50 FRUITFUL YEARS OF SERVICE
Singapore, Jan 20 – Hong Leong Finance turns 50 this year! To commemorate this significant milestone, the company will kick start its Golden Jubilee celebrations by rewarding the people who made it all possible – its customers. In keeping with Chinese traditions, Hong Leong Finance is first extending thanks to its elderly customers who have been long-time supporters, with its new Golden 55 Plus package designed especially for customers aged 55 years and above. From 21 January, Golden 55 Plus customers will have a greater choice of deposit tenures with the introduction of a new 15-month tenure. For deposits of between S$50,001 and S$999,999 placed for a period of 15 or 18 months, depositors will enjoy attractive interest rates and 8% (flat) maturity bonus on the total interest earned. The Golden 55 Plus package offers senior citizens greater flexibility and financial mileage with their savings. Depositors enjoy the freedom to use the cash as they please as the interests from the fixed deposits are credited monthly to their linked savings account. In addition, a pair of Jubilee mugs will also be rewarded to the first 50 Golden 55 Plus customers of each branch. This promotion is the first of a series of signature events to commemorate the company’s 50 fruitful years in delivering financial services in Singapore. “In our 50-year history, Hong Leong Finance has grown from a small financier to Singapore’s largest finance company. This would not have been possible without our customers,” said Hong Leong Finance President, Mr Ian Macdonald. “As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, a series of events and activities has been planned to reach out to retail customers as well as the business community and it is an honour to share our joy with our customers.”

Hong Leong Finance will also usher in the Year of the Rabbit with festive treats. For one day only (21 January 2011), the first 50 customers of each branch who sign up for the “Golden Jubilee - Golden 55 Plus Fixed Deposit” or “Treasures of Abundance” Fixed Deposit will receive a pair of rabbit motifs.
