Singapore, 11 May 2011 – Millennium Resort Patong Phuket in idyllic Phuket, Thailand, clinched top honours at this year’s Expedia Insiders’ Select™ list. The Insiders’ Select list formally recognizes individual hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall experience and a notable value. The five-star resort beat out stiff competition to make it into the top 500 out of over 130,000 properties worldwide listed by the online travel company. The hotel is the latest in a string of accolades by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) including the recent win of Grand Millennium Beijing as “2010 Best Business Hotel in Beijing” at the annual TTG Awards, and Singapore’s M Hotel which was also named “Best Mid-Range Business Hotel” in 2005. London-listed M&C, one of the world’s largest owned and managed hotel groups with a network of more than 100 hotels operating worldwide, is a 54% subsidiary of Singapore property giant City Developments Limited (CDL).
