Patron of Heritage Arts 2008 - National Arts Council Hong Leong Foundation was awarded the Distinguished Patron of Arts award most recently in 2008, for donations to various arts groups. The foundation also made a $5 million donation to the Asian Civilisation Museum, the largest figure received for the museum here to date.

BCA Green Mark Champion Award 2008
Introduced for the first time in 2008, CDL received the inaugural Green Mark Champion Award from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). This new award recognises developers with strong commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and who have bagged outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability. It is given to developers who have achieved a substantial number of Green Mark buildings at Gold level and higher.

Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) 2008
The Millennium Gloucester Hotel & Conference Centre London Kensington won the Gold Award for Best Brand Marketing Campaign and the Silver Award for Best CD-Rom/DVD at the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) in London.

Brand Finance’s Top 50 Singapore Brands 2008
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (M&C), was ranked 12th in the overall Top 50, M&C is Singapore’s top hospitality brand by the Brand Finance’s Top 50 Singapore Brands.

World Brand Laboratory 2008
The Yuchai brand was awarded the "The Chinese Brand of the Year 2008" in the diesel engine category from the World Brand Laboratory ("WBL") at the 2008 World Entrepreneur Annual Meeting. Among the criteria evaluated are: market share, brand awareness, innovation, brand reputation, and customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2007 Hong Leong Finance won the coveted “Finance Company of the Year" award in the Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2007, reaffirming its position as one of the region’s leading financial institution.

This annual award is presented to CDL for its significant contribution to the promotion and development of the arts in Singapore. CDL had previously been a recipient of the Friend of the Arts Award since 1997.

The President’s Award for the Environment - The Office of the President of the Republic of Singapore
In recognition of CDL’s firm commitment and outstanding contributions to environmental conservation throughout the years, the Group was conferred the President’s Award for the Environment. The Award is the highest accolade in Singapore’s environment and water resources field, recognising individuals, organizations and companies which have contributed monumentally to Singapore’s efforts in achieving environmental sustainability.

The President’s Social Service Award - The Office of the President of the Republic of Singapore
In recognition of CDL’s firm commitment and outstanding voluntary contributions to the community throughout the years, the Group was conferred the highest social service honour by the office of the President of the Republic of Singapore

CSR Recognition Award - Singapore Compact for CSR
In recognition of CDL’s sustained commitment towards CSR, CDL was conferred this award by Singapore Compact, the national society in furthering the CSR movement in Singapore. CDL was a pioneer member of the Singapore Compact and a UN Global Compact Signatory in Singapore.

Total Defence Awards / Home Team NS Awards for Employers 2007 (Special Award) - Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)
In recognition of CDL's outstanding and consistent contribution towards Singapore’s national defence, CDL was awarded the highest honour at the Total Defence Awards 2007, jointly organised by MINDEF and MHA to commemorate 40 years’ of National Service.

Watermark Award - Public Utilities Board (PUB)
Introduced in 2007, the Watermark Award is an award of higher recognition for Friends of Water who have made significant contributions towards Singapore’s water sustainability, raising the profile of water contributions and instilling among Singaporeans.

Singapore International 100 Ranking 2006 HLA was ranked 12th in the Singapore International 100 Ranking 2006 for generating over 90 per cent of its revenue outside Singapore. China was HLA’s biggest contributor, at 85 per cent.

Corporate Citizen Award 2006 - National Volunteer & Philantropy Centre (NVPC)
In recognition for its firm commitment to active corporate citizenship over the years, CDL has been conferred the prestigious Corporate Citizen Award by the NVPC. CDL is the first local-based company to win this prestigious award which has previously been accorded mainly to Multi-National Corporations (MNCs).

The Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) was presented to CDL in recognition for its commendable Workplace Health Programmes to encourage employees to lead healthy and vibrant lives.

Total Defence Awards 2006 - Minister for Defence Award- Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)
CDL is the recipient of the Minister for Defence Award, the highest accolade presented to employers at this year’s Total Defence Awards (previously known as the SAF Awards for Employers and the Total Defence Awards for Civil Resource Owners). This special honour is in recognition of CDL’s consistent and unequivocal support to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and Homefront Ministries towards national defence, National Service (NS) policies and their employees’ NS activities. CDL is also inducted into the prestigious Minister for Defence Awards (MiDAS) League as a leader and advocate of national defence for a five-year term.
