15 December 2014 – Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (M&C) announced the opening of their first flagship hotel in Japan today, marking a definitive milestone for the Group. Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel, a collaboration with Mitsui Fudosan, will open its doors on 17 December 2014.

Located in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza 4-Chome District, directly opposite Misukoshi department store, the hotel spots a striking “Bottega-inspired” façade like the weave of a basket. Designer Mr Masahide Ishikawa expressed “Japanese IKI (esprit) traditions and culture” by using the image of weaving to symbolise the interweaving of Ginza’s history, present and future. The hotel also spots modern and innovative interior design by Asian artists.

Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel will provide a Japanese style space to visitors seeking the ultimate in luxury. The hotel will feature two special concept rooms designed by distinguished Japanese brands Mikimoto Cosmetics Ginza and Hakuza Nihonbashi.
